Mike Reed, Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Reed joined GateHouse Media, the predecessor company to New Media, in January of 2006 as Chief Executive Officer. He has also been a member of the board of directors since October 2006. Previously, Mr. Reed served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Community Newspaper Holdings, Inc., or “CNHI”, a leading publisher of local news and information, following a term as the company’s Chief Financial Officer. Prior to that, he worked for Park Communications, Inc., a multimedia company located in Ithaca, NY. Mike formerly served on several Boards of Directors, including the Newspaper Association of America, the Associated Press, where he was Chairman of the Audit Committee, the University of Alabama’s College of Communication and Information Sciences, and Gracy College Journalism School. Mr. Reed currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Minneapolis Star Tribune, which he joined in 2009.

Lark-Marie Antón, Chief Communications Officer

Lark-Marie Antón is the Chief Communications Officer at Gannett where she oversees internal and external communications focused on the company’s core mission to strengthen local communities through its content and marketing solutions brands. With more than 20 years of experience in strategic communications and integrated marketing, she has held executive roles at Hertz, Verizon, Loews Hotels and served as Deputy Press Secretary for the Honorable Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg's administration in New York City. Prior to joining Gannett in 2021, she served as Chief Communications Officer at Aura, a cybersecurity technology platform. Lark earned a Master of Arts in communication studies from West Virginia University and a Bachelor of Arts from Marist College. In 2020, she was named among Ragan's Top Women in Communications. She proudly serves on the Boards of New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, The Prospect Park Alliance and Green-Wood, a National Historic Landmark.

Doug Horne, Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Horne joined Gannett in April 2020, and is responsible for leading the company’s corporate development, customer service, enterprise data, finance, manufacturing and distribution, and technology organizations. Additionally, Mr. Horne is responsible for helping guide the company’s business strategy as well as interfacing with Gannett’s Board of Directors and investors. He has more than 25 years of experience in the entertainment, media, and technology industries. Immediately prior to his role at Gannett, he served as the Global Controller for The We Company. Prior to that, Mr. Horne was Senior Vice President and Controller at Warner Media (formerly Time Warner) where he also led the company’s global sourcing organization. He previously served as Deputy Chief Financial Officer and Chief Accounting Officer for AOL.

Samantha Howland, Chief People Officer

Ms. Howland focuses on enabling high-performance cultures by bringing people processes in line with organizational strategy. Her background in human resources includes start-ups to Fortune 500 companies, with specialties in organizational and leadership development. Prior to joining Gannett, formerly GateHouse Media, in 2018, she served as Chief People Officer at Mobiquity, a digital engagement agency. Her experience also includes serving as Senior Managing Partner and Talent Practice Executive for Decision Strategies International. Ms. Howland is also a well-regarded author of whitepapers, a lecturer and curriculum developer for elite business school programs.

Polly Grunfeld Sack, Chief Legal Officer

Polly Grunfeld Sack joined Gannett, formerly GateHouse Media, as its chief legal officer in 2006 after 14 years with sports, media and entertainment company IMG, where she served as Senior Vice President and Director of Mergers and Acquisitions. In addition to earning her law degree from Stanford Law School, she also has a Masters in Engineering from Stanford University, undergraduate degrees in math and civil engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and her certification as a professional engineer. She is a board member of several animal rescue groups.

Renn Turiano, Chief Product Officer

Renn Turiano is the Chief Product Officer at Gannett I USA TODAY Network. An established product leader with 30+ years delivering successful customer experiences, he has deep operational experience and expertise in organizational leadership and end-to-end product development. Previously, Renn served as VP of Product and Design at NBCUniversal where he helped incubate and launch the Peacock streaming service. He was also Creative Director at Amazon, where he built and led multiple teams, driving the creation of numerous successful products and features. Additionally, he has held product and design roles at RAPP, HTC, McKinsey, and Goldman Sachs, among others.

Chris Cho, President of Digital Marketing Solutions

Chris is the President of Digital Marketing Solutions (DMS) at Gannett. A proven product executive and visionary, Chris has more than two decades of experience building and scaling tech-enabled businesses. Chris was previously Chief Product Officer at Axiom, a recruiting technology platform for legal talent resources where he oversaw product, platform technology and go to market strategy. As an entrepreneur, he also launched two software businesses, both of which achieved considerable success before their sale. Chris has also held executive roles in the recruiting technology industry at companies including iCIMS, Radancy, and global brands such as Monster Worldwide (Monster.com) where he consistently delivered new products and drove innovation. He received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Georgia Tech.

Henry Faure Walker, Newsquest Media Group CEO

Mr. Faure Walker has been the Chief Executive Officer of Newsquest Media Group since 2014, managing more than 165 regional news brands in the UK with an audience of 30 million. He joined Newsquest from Johnston Press plc, where he served as Digital Director since 2010. Prior to this, he was General Manager of The Scotsman Publications Ltd. Mr. Faure Walker started his career in marketing services, rising to become a Board Director of The Communication Group plc in 1999. He is Chairman of the News Media Association.

Kristin Roberts, Chief Content Officer

Kristin brings over two decades of experience to her role as the Chief Content Officer at Gannett I USA TODAY Network. She intimately understands the media industry and the adaptation of new business models to sustain journalism. Most recently as the CCO of McClatchy, she led 30 newsrooms and architected a new business model for local media, which contributed to whole-of-enterprise outperformance. She also served as the National Editor at POLITICO, leading the publication’s groundbreaking coverage and in-depth reporting of the 2016 presidential election and she also spent 13 years at Reuters covering business and economics across New York and Miami, as well as defense and foreign policy in Washington D.C. before transitioning to newsroom leadership.  Kristin resides in Miami and is active in her community serving as Board Member and Marketing Chair of Girls Inc. of Greater Miami and a member of the Tocqueville Society at United Way Miami in addition to being a founding member of Chief locally. She holds master’s degrees from Georgetown University and Columbia University as well as a bachelor’s degree from George Washington University.

Jason Taylor, Chief Sales Officer

Jason Taylor is the Chief Sales Officer of Gannett Media and oversees USA TODAY NETWORK Ventures events and promotions. Jason is an innovative and creative industry leader with a long history serving as Publisher, Regional and Divisional President within both Gannett and GateHouse, including President and Publisher of the Las Vegas Review Journal and President of the Chattanooga Times Free Press. He has been recognized with numerous industry accolades including the Mega-Conference Innovator of the Year and the American Advertising Federation’s Silver Medal for Lifetime Achievement.

Imtiaz Patel, Chief Consumer Officer

Imtiaz Patel is the Chief Consumer Officer of Gannett Media. Most recently he served as CEO and Publisher of The Baltimore Banner, a digital news organization and was previously an executive with Dow Jones and The Wall Street Journal where he led circulation strategy and was the General Manager of key business verticals. Imtiaz has advised several news organizations, including The Philadelphia Inquirer, Gannett, and led the efforts to acquire The Baltimore Sun and Tribune Publishing. He holds a B.S. in Economics, Accounting & Finance from The London School of Economics and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
